We're getting ready to CD our first child due in March. I already have a wide variety of diapers and think my stash is set. I also have some Charlie's soap, wetbags, CJs butt butter, and will probably be getting a sprayer eventually. We live an hour and a half away from a CD store, so I'm wondering what other "essentials" or "emergency items" I need to have. (I have a small wipe stash, but am hoping to build that). I just don't want to have to do disposables for awhile if I do run into an emergency while I wait for a package to come in the mail or a chance to run to the store. TIA!
Re: CD essentials
It sounds like you have everything you will need to start (as long as some of those diapers are newborn size). It's really not that hard, I promise
The only thing you might want is a back up detergent. Some kids are allergic to Charlie's, but that's a little extreme and I wouldn't bother myself.

Sounds like you've got a pretty good system, though

Thanks for the reassurance!
They are NB dipes.
I had wondered about another detergent, just in case. My husband does have several skin sensitivities.
The only thing you might want to keep on hand is a bottle of blue dawn, for any build-up issues. And make sure you have a good drying rack for your covers and/or pocket diapers.
I ended up buying a new drying rack because I was using it so much. Plus if you sun your diapers it's helpful to have a nice sturdy one that can stand outside without issue. I won't tell you how many times I ran outside to pick diapers up off the porch when mine fell over from a breeze...
