Ok so I am just wondering something. Wouldn't the circ'd skin be medical waste that they have to dispose of? Could a hospital really sell some kids circ'd skin? Where did she come up with that? And honestly, I circ'd E and if I found out they used his foreskin to test cosmetics I can't really say that I would care.

IME, this is generally correct. They're not really supposed to keep ANYTHING and it has to be disposed of properly.

Oh I'm sure stuff like that happens but its not like the AAP's official stance or a general hospital policy. It's one of those crazy conspiracy things I guess.

Yeah - the AAP stuff really confused me, because it's not a government agency or anything. It's basically an organization (Not for profit) that helps to create a set of standards. Based on what I used to do, this is important to make sure the medical professions are all operating on the same level. (Because "medical negligence" is based on the provider adhering to the standards in the community.) There is a similar organization for most medical specialties (National Thoracic Society, American Heart Association, College of Obstetrics and Gynocology). All they really do is get together and go over research to create these "standards."
Obviously not every doctor is going to agree (I actually represented a doctor who was on a committee about blood thinners following certain forms of cardiac procedures and he didn't agree with the standard that they came up with) but their main concern is protection - both their patients and themselves. There's not really an ulterior commercial motive behind the organizations, any more than whatever perks would be associated with the profession in general.

However, that being said, I know that there were two incidents at University of California Irvine involving the sale of stolen cadavers and the sale of stolen eggs/embryos. And the seminal case regarding the fiduciary duty of doctors involved the use of someone's cells to commercial a cell line for research purposes.

I totally forgot that she called us a bunch of drunks.
Wasn't she the one who put up a big stink about us referring to our babies as "bushy?"
Ahhh, yes. Man that was one high horse she was on.
