I was having a horrible time sleeping last night because I have been a bit worried about my AF. I have been having it at least 2x a month. When I saw the Dr on Friday he brought up uterine cancer. I am sure that isn't the issue, as I have had these kinds of problems before, but it is in my mind now and freaking me out. He did blood work and 3 endometrial biopsies on Friday (which felt like sh*t BTW) and now an U/S this morning. He also discussed that it may be time for a hysterectomy. I am pretty sure we are one and done but I am not 100% confident with that yet and I still want the option to have another. I am really hoping that it is just hormonal stuff going on.
Re: U/S today for AF
Wow Smit, sorry you're having a rough time. I've had endometrial biopsies before for excessive bleeding (in my case due to PCOS) and they hurt like a b*tch. I would be scared hearing words like "cancer" and "hysterectomy" so I hope you get things figured out soon. Personally, when we're done having kids (probably just one more) I plan to get the endometrial ablation pp mentioned. Keep us posted, thinking of you.
So sorry to hear this, Smit! I, too, have excessive bleeding and a history of extensive reproductive problems. Unfortunately, I have no words of wisdom... but I am so happy that you are having things checked out! It has taken me years to get to the point I am (which is no where special) but we at least have things under control for the time being. I hope you find answers and that the news is good! Fingers crossed!

Wishing you the best, smit. Keep us posted. ((hugs))

OCT 2011 Moms BlogThank you everyone for the support! I am thinking that she did not find anything because we were discussing the resolution of different U/S methods and she made a comment "If I saw something I thought needed more imaging I would call over to the Dr and get an order to use a different method to get a different look". It made me feel better that she probably wasn't seeing anything crazy.
It also makes me feel much better that many of you have had similar issues and no really bad diagnosis. I am sure that it is probably just AF up to her old tricks. I will let you know when I hear back from the Dr. I am thinking it will be within a couple of days.
Thanks again everyone!
Huh, that's a coincidence, my mom had a uterine cancer scare about six weeks ago and is having a second endometrial ablation tomorrow morning.
Anyway, I'm hoping your doctor's comments were a good sign. However, I hope you get some kind of answer too. Thinking of you!
Thanks Overture! I had no idea that your Mom was going through that and that really sucks. I really hope your Mom is doing well and that her endometrial ablation will go smoothly and resolve her problems.
