Can I be a little selfish?

I am a little down today.  In the last 72 hours I have been vomited on more times than I can count, I have been up all night humming Silent Night  with a sore throat to DS because he loves that song and it makes him feel better.  I just get him settled down and DD gets up and is sick.  I am bored, I want to get out, I haven't been to the gym in a week an a half and I don't know how long until I can get back.  DH went back to work today so I am riding solo.  My mom can't come help because she has to go look after my grandmother so we don't want them to expose my mom to these germs and I just had to call and cancel going to a party that I am looking forward to ever since I found these awesome shoes to wear. I had to cancel girls night on Saturday.  And I feel just terrible because my kids are hungry and I can only give them pedialyte because anything else gets thrown up.  We tried BRAT with DD yesterday and all that ended up was projectile vomit all over me.  So I am feeling nasty,  I am tired, I have cabin fever. 

This whole being a mom thing is hard.

I hope that everyone starts feeling better soon so you can get a break. Maybe your Mom can come help then and you can schedule a girls night out? Good luck to you and hang in there; it will be over soon.

Yuck! I'm so sorry that your kiddos are sick. I have a hard enough time with just E - I can't imagine getting double barfed by two!

DS loves Silent Night too. Can you take them in the shower with you? When DS is sick that helps. I just hold him and he just lays there. That way we both get clean and then I put him in snuggley Jammies and we put on a movie or music. Can you take them out on a walk? I'm in Texas so our weather is great right now if yours isn't that wouldn't work... I can't imagine two sick kids. I'm so sorry. Sending you some antigerm vibes.
