Any tricks for helping soothe a bad cough?
Andrew has had a fever onn and off for a few days and a wicked cough, worse at night. I'm running a cool mist humidifier in his room. I feel so bad! I'm on the phone in the morning with the pedi. Any suggestions? TIA
Re: bad cough
Sorry I wish I had some tips for you. My first thought is to maybe try the kids cough syrup? Maybe you can call the after hours line and see if that would be ok?
Poor baby
The last time mine was sick, I got the vicks humidifier and put some of those vicks pads in it, but I think that is more for congestion.
Hope he feels better!

Cameron has a wicked cough (I was sick last week so I'm sympathetic) -- and the pedi suggested benadryl. 5 ml for him (he's 22 lbs) will relax the cough. She said you can do 3.5 during the day which doesn't make him too sleepy.
Saturday and today we did 3.5 before his morning nap and 5 about 30 minutes before bed, and it has helped a LOT!
