Mobile: Q for Moms of girls (re: clothes)
This is going to be a really stupid question. Just a warning.
I finished painting DD's dresser last night (pictures are on my blog if you want to see - I'm totally AW-ish proud of it), so today I got to load it up with clothes that we've gotten as hand me downs.
Holy moly are girl
clothes so different! I had the hardest time finding separate pants and
tshirt outfits for Charlie - most of his were rompers or onesies with
whatever pants I could buy separate. Girl clothes are all specific
patterns and matching outfits and what not.

I'm really not a fan of matchy outfits. I think it's much more fun to mix n match and coordinate hazels outfits myself. It's actually one of my favorite parts of the day.
I keep the clothes organized by clothing type. T-shirts, leggings, onesies etc. in the drawers and I hang dresses, sweaters, tutus, nice shirts, etc in the closet.
In her dresser there is a drawer with matching outfits and another with seperate pants and shirts.
This is what I do too.
I hang all outfits together in her closet (more for MH then me) and all random T shirts and pants in her drawers. It makes it way easier for me to find things this way and prevents MH from putting things on her that go with another outfit, Many of times I have wanted to put her in a certain outfit for half of it to be dirty.
Plus it really helps me see what she has and what fits her. We are really trying to simplify so we have less laundry so its helpful for me too see what is what

This exactly.
The really ugly matching outfits always go in her cubby at daycare so I don't have to deal with not putting them on her.

Outfits get hung up together, mostly for the ease of my H who likes to dress her in burnt orange and pink.
Random pants/leggings have a drawer as do tops, pjs, sweaters, and socks/tights (which flips out to diaper covers in the spring/summer).

I agree with everyone else! And if there are bloomers, I just loop them over the hanger too so they stay with the dress. It's just so much easier, and it's amazing how many different shades of pink there are that make 2 pieces clash JUST enough to annoy me.
When I shop at consignment sales, I won't even buy something unless I can find a coordinating piece there too. I'm not saying it's all matchy match - it may be as simple as a pair of khaki pants and a long sleeved t-shirt, but it gets hung together.
This summer I did have a stack of shorts and an area in the closet for t-shirts though because hanging shots can be obnoxious, but I always just know which shorts go with which shirt. If LO had to get changed into different shorts at daycare and DH brought her home, he'd always not think to get the soiled set because he never knew what pieces went together. Whereas if it's me, I know if the wrong shorts are on.
Our drawers go like this: socks / hair bows / undershirts in 1... swim suits and hats in 2.... pajamas in 3.... separates in 4 (although I like to just put a stack in the closet on the shelf so I don't have to go to the drawer)... and larger sized stuff in 5.
