Brynn Lula is here!!!

So, I'm finally getting time for Brynn's birth story. I had my 39 week appointment Monday at noon, still 4cm and 80% just like weeks 37 and 38. My mom, DH, and I went to lunch a couple hours later and at the end of our meal BAM my water broke at the restaurant! I ran to the car... leaking all the way, went home, took a quick shower, finished packing, and DH and I headed to the hospital. We arrived around 4. They made we wait in the waiting room for 20 minutes (seriously) still leaking. Got back in triage around 4:30, having mild contractions, and I was put into a L&D room around 5:30. Contractions got stronger. I was at 5cm and they ordered the epi. Once it came contractions were intense and only a minute or two apart, so of course when they put it in I was having strong contractions in the middle of it, ouch! By this point it was about 6:30. The epi started kicking in but I was still having pretty painful contractions (I'm guessing this was during transition). I told the nurse I was still feeling a lot of pain so she checked me around 7:30 and low and behold I was 10cm and ready to push. My OB was paged. He came in the room in a rush and said, "I can't deliver right now, I am putting someone under for a c-section." My awesome nurse says, "This one will be quick... 2 or 3 pushes I promise." Three pushes later, our little girl was here November 12th at 8:16pm, 7lbs, 10oz, 20 inches. Brynn has been a dream baby and Grant is head over heels for her. We feel so blessed!
