Pre-Term Labor... Bah!

My appointment with my doctor on Thursday was too good to be true. Things were looking good with the babies and my cervix. Friday night I started getting some back cramps and it lasted most of the day Saturday. My on-call doc told me to come in and when the nurses checked I was already 1cm dilated. 

I've been on this mag drip ever since and the side effects are awful! I am seeing everything in double vision. Oh well, let's hope I can keep these girls cooking a lot more.

Best wishes for you and your little ladies! I started going into PTL at 23 weeks and made it to 34. Rest as much as you can, sweetie.

Oh no, I hope the mag works for you.  Sending lots of good thoughts your way to keep those girls in much longer. Take it one day at a time - first goal 24 weeks.

I know how miserable that is, but it works. They were able to stop my preterm labor. Hang in there!

I was hosp for ptl at 27 wks (short cervix and 1cm) and wound up being induced at 37 wks. Rest up and think good thoughts!

Thanks ladies!! Things are slowing down so that's a good sign. They're going to keep me here at least a week but I think the hospital is the best place for me now

Oh, I feel for you...I was admitted with my twins at 21 wk 1 day in ptl.  After weeks of continued contractions, a few rounds of mag, lots of procardia and every other drug under the sun to stop labor, they finally were born at 26 wk 4 days.  I was in the hospital til they were born on bedrest. They spent 12 wks in the nicu and are 8 mo old now perfectly healthy I will be praying for you..I remember how those days drug until I got to 24 wks.
