Nursing and Menstrating

I'm still nursing my 13 mo at least twice a day...and I have yet to get my period...is this normal? Anyone else have this? I am moody and breaking out like crazy but no sign...I do have my annual coming up on monday so I plan to follow up with my doctor...but in the meantime I'm looking to other moms! thanks!

Yup that's normal. Some people don't get a period until they wean completely. I wouldn't worry about it.

Lucky you!  Be careful if you're TTA though.  From what I've heard, the longer you go without a period, the easier it is to get KU on your first post-partum cycle.  I'm not sure why though.  Maybe someone else can confirm.

It happened to my mom, but I know I've read it in a book too.

Me too.  I nurse 4x a day.  I get the cramps, and I think that it should start any day, but no sign yet.

I'm in the same boat. We are thinking about ttc soon so full wean might be in order.

I was pumping exclusively for 5 months when my supply started dropping. By 6 months, I was only pumping 3 to 4 oz/day so I quit and I didn't get my period until like a month after that... And then I got pregnant.

Really!!! Fruck, I need to be careful then! I still haven't got AF back and I just weaned a week ago and I am waiting for my doc appointment to get BCP, so I really hope that I am not crazy fertile right now!
