Kicking myself

I'm so mad at myself right now. It's shotgun season in Illinois and my H always hunts each year. He has been such a good help, so I thought I would be nice and give him the last two nights off. My idea, not his. So I have handled the midnight feedings and changings by myself, and he's gone all day hunting. WTH was I thinking?? I have two going through a growth spurt and they are so pissed if they are not on the boob. My body is screaming for a short uninterrupted nap, he is out hunting, and I am extremely pissed. Lesson learned. Never again! Maybe I will take a nap then go christmas shopping when he gets home tonight! Muwahahaha evil laugh.

Re: Kicking myself

  • *big hugs* :) my husband went the last two years as well, and was unsuccessful.  This year he finally got his first deer (the man has been hunting for 16 years now)...I am hoping it means he won't want to go next year....though upon returning he said, "I can see now why men like to hunt..that was exhilirating!"   *hangs head*

I hope he came back from the field early for you!

God gave me a double portion for my inheritance with my little Mighty men :) 9/19/10 Baby A born at 1:47 am 6lbs 14oz, 20.5inches long. Baby B born at 3:20 am 6lbs 6oz, 19.5inches long. My double blessing!:)

  • I don't think you will regret it in the long term, once you're caught up on sleep :) It's so important to be kind to each other when you have these young, needy babies. I'm proud of you for letting him go do something that he loves, even though it has sucked for you. You should definitely ask him to return the favor and go Christmas shopping or go out to dinner with a friend or something else that will recharge you.
