Anything that could be cut into long strips. Sweet potatoes cut in fench fry shape, strips of zucchini, strips of bread, strips of watermelon, etc. When she was first learning she liked to be able to put food in her mouth herself and take it back out. Strips helped with this. When she got used to eating real food we started with cheerios and cutting food into bite sized pieces.
I started with just fruits and veggies now they get eggs, toast with some all fruit, grilled cheese, meatballs with grated veggies in them, pasta. I use www.wholesomebabyfood.com and I also have a book called The best homemade baby food on the planet. It breaks everything down all the recipes to feed your baby by their age.
Avocado, bananas, very ripe pears, baked sweet potatoes, apples sauteed in butter and then simmered in water until soft, rice, beans cooked until soft, blueberries cut in half, pancakes with applesauce on top to moisten it, puffs, cheerios, baby goldfish, homemade banana or pumpkin bread
I started her on fruits and veggies which were cut to about the size of a cheerio. She's been eating table foods since about 7mos and we're jus now working meats into her menu, and we don't do it very often (usually shredded chicken).
We also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And HOPE does not dissappoint. Romans 5:3-5

Rowan isn't really transitioning from baby food, since she never tolerated baby food. Zero interest in purees. She's going straight for table foods. She started with cheerios and yogurt drops, and now that she's got a single tooth, she likes sucking on/raking bits off of bread sticks. She'll generally eat small cut bits of whatever we're eating, especially likes black beans, tomato, butternut squash, broccoli and cauliflower. Today she had her first kids meal in a restaurant, and she enjoyed the torn up pieces of pancake (without syrup). She also likes gnawing on apple slices.
