humidifier use?

We still have our warm mist humidifier in the box because honestly - I have no idea what you use it for, other than when your sick.

Now Hayley sometimes has a stuffy-ish nose. Nothing major. But would the humidifier get rid of the random few boogers she has goin on?

I bought one a week ago when DS had a cold and a super stuffy/runny nose. I have still been using it every night and nap and he still gets boogery, so I don't know if it is helping or not.

We use the vaporizer only when Aria's congested... As in, can't really breathe through her little nose.

I wouldn't necessarily use it all the time. I use it when Ian starts to sound congested or gets snotty. It's good to use for a little bit when you switch from using your air conditioner to heat. Heat is more "dry" than ac, so it helps with that transition.

I do the same as the PP.  Lyla kept getting a runny nose and a cough for about 6 weeks on and off, so we did a cool mist humidifier.  We have used it every night for about 3 weeks and we haven't had a runny nose or cough since.  Like PP said it could be a fluke, but after 6 weeks of sickness hell I don't want to risk not using it.

They've had some form of a cold for almost two months - right now it's just a runny nose. I've been using it every night since it started, and for naps when we're home. They need noise when they sleep so it works out anyway.

Kevin has had some chest congestion lately so we bought a vicks cool mist humidifier with the pediatric inserts and it has really helped.

I will use this going forward when he is congested and/or stuffy. It worked out much better than the crappy Graco one that we have.
