Beyond the Sling by Mayim Bialik?

Hi, all...

Just curious... did anyone else on here read "Beyond the Sling"?  I just finished it (I know it's been out for a bit) and I have to say that I really enjoyed it!  I didn't necessarily agree with EVERYTHING but I liked it.  My favorite thing that she did was continually emphasize how you need to follow your instincts.  I also liked that it was easy to read and read more like a "book" than like other parenting guides (ie, those that do a week by week thing).

So two questions:

1) Did you read it and what did you think?

2) Do you have any other "fun" books to recommend for attachment parenting?  Something that was a good time to read, informative, etc.?

Yeah, it was ok. I wasn't blown away by it, but there were some good ideas/affirmations in there.

I agree with you. I liked that it was an easy read, not a dos or donts type. I didn't agree with everything bruit reaffirmed some of my parenting beliefs and practices. And I won't lie, I love The Big Bang Theory so it was so funny to read her book when I was picturing Amy in my head :

I liked the book,Our babies, Ourselves.  It isn't exactly an AP book, but a look at how different cultures raise their kids. I thought it was kinda promoting ap though just as something that is more naturally suited to child raising.
