Announcing the Gender

We are hoping to find out the gender of our baby at our next OB appointment, next wednesday.  We want something really fun to announce to family at Thanksgiving on Thursday, what the gender is going to be.  I've seen the cupcake/cake idea, but my SIL did this so I'm looking for something different. Any ideas?

    I have seen people get helium balloons in pink or blue and put them in a box. Then, Grandma or whoever gets to open the box and balloons fly out.

    Another idea would be to wrap a Thanksgiving present for those there (It would depend how many households will be at your Thanksgiving dinner!)--for example, a picture frame that they will someday have in their home with a picture of your baby in it. The frame could be pink or blue...
