Adoption

Leaving TOMORROW!! Someone tell me...

Someone tell me it's going to be okay if I forget something!  I almost had a heart attack today when I realized I almost forgot to pack a bib.

5 days without a bib.  THE HORROR!!!

I'm seriously going to be awake all night wondering what I forgot.  Someone please tell me as long as we have toys, food, clothes and diapers we'll survive.  Right?!

 Big Smile

Leaving tomorrow, arriving Sunday, picking up Arie on Monday and flying back home the following Saturday.  Eeeeeep!!! I cannot wait to walk (stumble) into our house on Saturday night.  What a joyous exhaustion that will be.

Re: Leaving TOMORROW!! Someone tell me...

  • I never ever use bibs on DS. Your LO's a little boy; better still, he's your little boy. You can get through 5 days without whatever with him!

  • OMG, OMG, OMG!!!  I didn't realize it is finally here!  I am so happy for you all!  Don't worry about forgetting anything, they have stores in Russia.;-)
  • But seriously, we bought most of what we needed for the boys in Peru, for much less than we could have in the US.  We had to wait because of baggage limits (we could bring two more bags home than we traveled down with) and the fact that we couldn't be sure of their size before we were with them.
  • Good luck! Praying for short lines at the airport, safe & smooth flights, uneventful layovers, and quick jet lag recovery. I am so excited!!

Married on 3.20.2004. It took 30 month, 2 failed adoptions and IVF for our first miracle. We have had 9 foster kids since he was born and started the domestic adoption process when he was 10 month old, we had 4 failed matches in that time. After our daughter was born we brought her home and spent 2 weeks fearing we might lose her because of complications that came up. But Praise God all went through and she is ours forever!
