I have a DD named Lyla and want a name with a similar feel- short, feminine, and classic. An older name-not too modern feeling. Our other favorite is Emma but I know, I know, it's sooooo popular.
Thoughts?
If you do like Cora, got any middle name ideas? I've got nothing. Emma would be Emma Katherine. Cora Katherine has a lot of "K-" sounds in it, though, I think?
Help please! I'll take suggestions but be kind. If you hate both my names my poor child may never get named at all.
Re: DD 2 needs a name- Cora?
I know two little sisters named Cora and Lila. I really like Cora, but agree there are too many "k" sounds paired with Katherine.
Cora Margaret
Cora Josephine
Cora Elizabeth
Cora Evelyn
Cora Louise
Cora Juliet
I really love Emma despite its popularity. Other suggestions: Anna, Cara, Olivia, Kate (Katherine), Julia, Mia, Claire

Thanks for all the input so far!
I'd love to use a family name for her since Lyla's middle name is a family name from my side but I'm not sold on the family names from DHs side
Marilyn, Marianne, Norah (Cora Norah is no bueno!), Nancy, Marie.... I was trying to think of something starting with "M" since they have some many M names on his side....
I love Cora.
However, Emma is my fave girl name. Screw popularity!
I agree with this. I think it's the go to choice now for Nora. I've seen a TON of newborn Cora's. Not saying this to dissuade you. I love it! But if you are choosing it over Emma just for popularity it's probably not worth it.
I really like Cora, I like Emma too but you are right it is very popular right now... but then again it's a classic and always will be.
Cora Elisabeth is really pretty together!
Agreed- Emma is my #1! Cora is in my top 4 for me depending on the day. If you love Emma then don't settle!
Cora Elizabeth, Cora Lynn or Cora Ann.
LOVE Cora. And I think it sounds great with Lyla. I also don't mind Cora Katherine. If you did Cora Catherine you could nn her CC, if you're into that kind of thing.
I think Cora will be getting more popular, but Lyla/Lila is pretty popular too.
