This morning, after being up half the night with DS and then with my annoying cold, DD came into my bedroom saying, "mommy my tummy hurts." She then threw up. A lot. Everything she has had go into her body has come out within 5 mins. I took her to a walk in because our doctor is closed on Fridays. It was packed, they said, "It will be a couple of hours." then DD threw up in a spectacular fashion into a bucket I had brought in. We were seen right away. Diagnosis? RSV. I don't know what that stands for but DH says "random stupid virus" I agree. I may be taking her to the hospital later if the pedialyte still won't stay down. So far in 8 hours DD has not kept even a mouthful of water down.

Re: Want wine with cold meds...is that a bad plan?
So now I gotta ask, did I just get a quack for a doctor at the walk in? Seriously, no fever, no cough, just a lot of vomit.
I know several kids that got it but none were throwing up. All ended up needing breathing treatments in the hospital. Hopefully that doesn't happen for you LO and she feels better soon!
Maybe. I would get a second opinion. It could be rotavirus, or just a bug also. No cough seems a little weird for RSV. How does her breathing sound? Wheezy? Or normal?
