We're moving on 12/22, so I don't know how much we'll put up this year, so I'm going to wait and order the matching stockings after the holidays.
For this year, I have a Baby's First Christmas stocking for DD, and we'll use the same ones that DH and I have been using the last 6 years for ourselves.
A+S | Met 8/24/06 | Married 9/27/08 Started TTC 12/2008 | dx PCOS 5/2009 6 failed clomid/femara/TI cycles, 1 failed clomid/ovidrel/IUI cycle Successful Cycle: 5/12/11 - 1000mg Metformin + 100mg Clomid(late response) + TI = BFP
2/13/12 - We proudly welcomed our daughter, Hadley Teresa! Lots of Luck to all of 3T/IF
I have one from when I was a kid that my grandma made me with my name and year I was born. I think I'm going to attempt making one for dh and little man that are the same.
I already have my stocking from when I was born with my name on it. So I'll keep mine. DH's family never did stockings so im getting his name on it, not dad or daddy. Jackson's will say Jackson
Right now the ones for DH and myself are pretty generic, and Anna has a first Christmas one. I hope to cross stitch ones for next year that have our names on them. But then again, I've been saying that for a couple years haha!

Only the kids get stockings here so just the first name.
This reminded me of a funny story. Santa always filled stockings for my parents, too. One year they filled my mom's stocking with just batteries. I remember feeling kind of bad for her, that it was all she got. But I thought it was so funny and super convenient that I had just gotten all of these gifts that needed batteries, and she had all these batteries, and how did Santa know?!

Funny! One year my brother got a crap ton of batteries in his stocking because he was constantly using up the family supply on all his gadgets. I think he was in like sixth grade or something. He was super excited!
ETA: my husband and I got AMAZING handmade stockings as wedding gifts [we were married in November]. I know they had to have cost a fortune. I plan to get Julian one when he is older, but I'll need to know more about his interests first because they are highly personalized. So for now, ours have our first names and I bought him a nice cable knit one with his initial embroidered onto it. My parents always had their first names on theirs.
Years ago I had made DH and I stockings, so those have our names on them. I found where I had cut out the material for 4 more (yikes! what was I thinking??) in the same fabric. So for this year, I will make DD a stocking to match ours. In the future though I would like to nice ones and those will say Mom, Dad, Abigail.
