My pedi does not disapprove of cheese or other dairy, he just doesn't want whole milk to accidentally displace formula/BM so has us delay that until a year. We give mozzarella and cheddar.

As I mentioned in my post below, DD loves cheese. She has cheddar, gouda, brie (w/o the rind), mozzarella, manchego, swiss, blue, yeah, basically she's a lover of all cheese.
Hmmm... Maybe I'll try some mozzarella and see how it goes
Oh one more question: Do you use just "dry" mozzarella string cheese or do you use the "real" in water mozzarella or is that for some reason maybe not safe?
I'm a cheese lover, so DS has gotten little bits of lots of cheeses. He's had mozerella, parmesan, cheddar, alfredo, feta, and probably some other kinds I don't remember. Speaking of which, I need to remember to get some cheese cubes today. He's mostly just had some cheese from my plate, but he'd probably like his own.
Ds has had a few different cheeses like American, cheddar, parm, and mozzarella but nothing soft. I'm not withholding it or anything I just don't like it so its not in the house or on my plate for ds to try. If it was around I would give it to him.

Thanks ladies!
I started with shredded part-skim mozz. I don't think the other is unsafe, it's just what I had on hand.
