A few updates

DH- finally got a phone interview the other day with a hospital (remember he's in the IT field so he can pretty much work for any company these days). He said it went well. We got notification that he did get unemployment this time (yay!) and they've already mailed a check to us but we haven't recieved it yet. His CS will come out of that so I no longer have to be responsible for making his payments (yay!) to make sure he doesn't get behind again. I guess I will be paying the difference for December though since he will only have 3 weeks taken out of his unemployment.

My nephew- After he moved out from us and in with his friend who lived with his parents, they lost their house and he had to move in with my brother. The friend's parents are now claiming he owes them $950 for rent and have some of his clothes and his high school diploma held hostage. We told him he needed to get the police involved to retrieve that and he had never signed a rental agreement with them. He started working at a shoe store (yay!). We went and visited him at work 2 weeks ago and he hooked us up with his discount on a new pair of shoes for DS (40% off) since DS had outgrown his other pair. He referred to us to his coworkers as the "awesome aunt and uncle who helped him graduate". My brother and his FI and his other 4 kids couldn't pay their rent so they moved an hour away to live with his FI's aunt. Nephew was forced to move in with his BM (the one that he has hardle spoken to since she moved back after she ditched them for an internet BF and moved to MS 4 years) so he could keep his job. Last night, my brother's FI told me that they when they talked to him 2 days ago he had to call in to work because his BM made him because she needed a babysitter (she has a 5 yr old-not my brother's). So she's worried he will loose his job because that's the kind of crap his BM pulls.

My SKs- I guess BM and SF found a house and are moving before Christmas, they are moving closer to us so that is a plus. I'm a little jealous since DH and I had been house hunting before he lost his job but I'm glad the kids will be slightly closer.

DD's BD- I'm guessing he and SM really are splitting. DD hasn't been back over there yet and won't until the 30th since it's our Thanksgiving but he called to bring by her 3DS she had left in his car. He mentioned he could bring it by on the way to his parents because DD had been bugging him about it. DH had asked DD why she was calling him pestering him about it why him and SM were trying to work things out. She told him that BD said SM was out of town for the week since they were separating.

So some good, some bad....
