My ds is quite the little piggy!! He weighed in at 16lbs 13 oz and 25 3/4" long! 75% for both height and weight! His head size was 17.5" putting him >97% lol.. Luckily DH has a big head, too, so they aren't concerned! Aside from regular checks, we seem to be on the right track in other ways, too.. We are continuing with oatmeal 1x a day.. She did suggest feeding him every 2 hours instead of every 3 and doing smaller bottles to help with the reflux and spit up.. We plan to try it, but I have a feeling DS is going to hate that.. He is a very hungry baby, so cutting his bottles down will not make him happy.. He currently is getting 5 7oz bottles a day.. We are going to try to ween back to 6 5oz bottles but allowing that last one before bed to still be 7 oz.. Will drop him to about 32oz formula per day instead of 35.. Other than that, he is doing great! Here's to hoping for no fever or other reactions from this round of vaccines!! Last time he ran a fever for over a week and they ended up putting him on antibiotics for a possible ear infection.. Fx he handles this round better.. Though, I'm not hopeful.. Boosters provoke an even stronger immune response meaning more likely to run a fever.. We shall see! So far he's been good..! Well that's my update!

Apparently, it is possible.. she thinks that part of the reason why he spits up is because he's overfilling his tummy. The Nutramigen is pre-digested, so he shouldn't have any issues "digesting" the formula, since it's already broken down proteins.. so, the fact that 2-3 hours after a bottle he's still spitting up tells her that his body isn't able to absorb that amount of formula in the given time.. Owen is tricky, because he ALWAYS acts hungry.. but that's typical of a colicky baby, and a baby with reflux.. the "full" feeling helps keep their bellies comfortable, which is why he always wants to eat.. but, he doesn't necessarily need that much.. she was also saying smaller bottles more frequently will still give him the nutrients he needs without filling his belly so much that his reflux is irritated.. we shall see what happens!
He was superrrr miserable last night, but went to bed at 8:30 and slept through the night, so no need to give tylenol.. so far today, DH says he's been doing well.. very low grade temp this morning, 99.4, hopefully it stays that way or drops!
