Natural Birth

Interesting Article

I read this over on the third tri and thought it might be of interest over here as well.  A good article that lists warning signs your doctor may be thinking c-section:

  • Yep and there are only a few free standing midwives in this area too. So changing care late in the game in the DFW area is hard!

  • That was interesting. Thanks for sharing. I passed it along to my Bradley instructor because we were just talking about c-sections in class last night.

  • 7. ?You have pushed for 2 hours? (with an epidural that prevents you from feeling anything so you are probably not pushing effectively; this is evident on exam because the baby?s head is still perfectly round, but you do not need to know that) ?It?s just not going to come out?

This is pretty much what happened to me with my c/s, except that baby was OP and did have a pretty good cone head when she came out.

Yep, 2 1/2 hours of pushing with an OP baby and a nice side conehead (head was also tilted to the side and up instead of tucked).  No doubt in my mind that had I been in a hospital I'd have ended up with an unnecessary c-section.
