Vent-ish: Name Spelling - IQ

I know the two have nothing to do with one another, but when I help my husband grade papers, I've noticed 99/100, if their name is spelled "uniquely"... they are uusally failing. And their "uniquely" spelled names have started giving me headaches. I do now honestly think that how badly their name is spelled is directly related to how poorly they spell. haha.

Re: Vent-ish: Name Spelling - IQ

  • I taught a girl named Preshus who was/is one of the smartest kids I ever taught, while I taught a Martin who was lucky he could spell his own very normal name correctly, so.... Wink

  • I'll have to ask DH if he's found this to be true.  So far the worst kid in his first grade class has an unusual name (but not YOUNeekLY spelled) and she's a budding sociopath.  We call her "brickface."

The kid with a name that starts with a K that really only should start with a C seems to be okay.  He did wet his pants a few weeks back, but hey, it's first grade.
