How to Identify Bottles With BPA?

Hello Friends,

The chemical polymer Bisphenol A, commonly referred to as BPA, has been used for years in baby bottles, sippy cups, sports bottles and other plastics. Because of its connection to reproductive abnormalities and premature rates of puberty, many manufacturers have begun creating BPA-free products--particularly for baby bottles and other beverage containers. But I have no idea how to identify bottles with BPA. So, anyone having idea on it, please  help me.

Thanks in advance!

  • It typically says BPA free on the box.

  • Type 3 & 7 plastics CAN have BPA in them, but it's not a guarantee that they do.  Other plastic types will definitely not contain BPA.

  • I also think that a lot of them that are super clear have it.  I know the Dr. Browns used to be clear, but then when they took the BPA out they were more foggy looking.

  • If it doesn't say BPA free, I don't buy it.

  • I'm seriously side eyeing this post. Especially since, when you click on their name, it says "user profile can not be found." Methinks this was some attempt at spam and they got banned.

Real people don't talk the way this post was typed, lol! It reads like an informative article, not an honest question from a real person. And who doesn't know how to look for items that say "BPA free" on the package??
