My 32 week preemie is now 9 weeks old. She's great & does not have health problems at all. I'm the biggest Laker fan! I go to plenty of games every year. I would love to take my baby girl to a Laker game. My husband & parents don't think it's a good idea. My baby girl is vaccinated. I waited until her 8 week vaccinations before taking her out at all. Is it too soon to take her to a sports game? Or is taking a preemie to a game not good at all? What do you think?
Re: Taking preemie to NBA game?
I wouldn't do it. My first son was 32 week preemie, born in October and I didn't take him out to public places until atleast February!! Of course I would take him out in his carseat w/ a canopy over it but that was it. RSV season is upon us and even though she is healthy, her lungs weren't fully prepared to be born at 32 weeks and still are susceptible to having major problems if she catches RSV.
At the end of the day, when in doubt just call the pedi and ask what they think.
Good luck.
This is exactly what I was thinking.
