I know it's a long process, but every time I hear from our adoption counselor that they've received a referral from our country, I find myself really disappointed that our phone hasn't rung yet.  I know I set myself up for being depressed, but I can't help but hoping.  Every time I come home and the answering machine light is blinking, I get hopeful.  At least the election is finally over, so I can quit being disappointed 40 times a day.
