2 hour flight with 10 month olds

So my main question at this point is whether or not to bring the DSNG.  That has been how we have survived the last 10 months haha.  We have used our big city mini (no way will we bring that expensive thing) and 2 cheaper umbrella strollers.  They like those okay, but I'm not sure if they would fall asleep in the umbrella strollers.

I'm debating carrying them in the ergos through security since I have heard that makes it quicker.  Otherwise we could use the DSNG since we will be lugging along their car seats anyway.  But I feel like we need a place to set one down if someone needs to arrange luggage or go to the bathroom etc.  Plus I feel like I should definitely gate check the car seats rather than check them in (we are planning lap infants unless there is room for us to get extra seats).

How should I pad the car seats if they end up gate checked?  Bubble wrap?  Blankets?

 Thanks!

  • I'd do the DSNG. We got these big red bags from Amazon for the stroller and car seats (gatechecked) but didn't pad them.

  • I also vote for DSNG. I miss ours when we travel now!

  • DSNG for sure. Even with ergos you'd have to take your baby out to go through security. IMO that's not easier than a DSNG. I've never brought car seats on a plane so I'm not sure what people do. I'm sure there are travel bags for them though.
