DD's favorite toys are her little ELC fairy people play sets, her Bitty Baby, books, and art stuff.
DS is into any kind of vehicles, playing imaginary stuff w/ his sister, and stuffed animals.
I'm also due in Dec (w/ #3) plus we do St. Nick here on Dec. 5/6 and we have DS's b-day Dec. 10, and DD's in January, so I think I am over-shopping! Haven't decided what is from Santa vs. from us.
St. Nick will bring each child an apple, orange, candy cane, Christmas chocolates, a Christmas book, Christmas PJs, stickers (DD loves them), and I think some new markers/crayons/coloring stuff. Maybe some other little fun toy item for each. He is also bringing a nice Christmas lullabies CD for DS and/or DD or both.
So far, for DD (who is almost 4--correlates to your LO's age) I have:
--1 Carter's outfit
--1 set winter PJs
--Cute stuffed animal--ballet lamb w/ tutu
--Doll clothes that fit both Bitty Baby and PBK doll
--underwear and t-shirts (whoo-hoo!)
I also have cupcake PJs, a cupcake tote bag and hair clip, but I think I will save those for her January Bday.
I am thinking of getting an Anywhere Chair but not sure.
Here are some of the gender-neutral other items on her list, that I may buy or ask family to consider:
-Games (I researched these--hope it helps!)
Busytown Game (I will probably get this)
Zingo
Curious George Beach Game
Cranium Hullabaloo
Uno Moo
-Target
?B? brand medical kit
-Bath letters/numbers that stick on the bathtub wall (likes trying to spell)
-Cute lunch bag and cooler packs for "lunch bunch" days at pre-school (she would like that)
-Nice hardcover books
-Snow Boots--might just buy those before Christmas so she can use them
-Ornament--I am also doing the thing where each year I buy each child a special Christmas tree ornament that reflects something that we did that year or that they really liked that year.
DD will need a bike & helmet this year, but I am just going to wait until spring. No point in giving her that now in Wisconsin.
The big gift that she is getting from us will be a homemade grocery store. I am having everyone saving containers and boxes from food and household products, I am also buying fake plastic fruit and veggies from the craft store to go in the produce aisle and then I am going to make shelf down in the basement to hold everything.

We go overboard at Christmas. His birthday is in june so im okay with it.

A real drum set. DS doesn't really have favorite toy. He likes to use his imagination a lot.
