Does anyone have a child sized piano?

I am hoping to get our boys a small piano for Christmas.  Not a keyboard or plastic baby piano...something bigger that you could actually learn on without going to an actual full size piano.  (I would consider a real piano since I can play but we are living overseas and it's not a good time).

I have been looking at the Schoenhut pianos, probably the 37 key.

Does anyone have one of these?  If so, do you like it?

Re: Does anyone have a child sized piano?

  • I don't but a friend got her DD a Schoenhut piano for her 3rd birthday and it was a hit. Inspired by that I got DS a Schoenhut drum as a reward for pooping in the potty and he LOVES it. It's way nicer than a plastic toy thing.
  • DD is a musician and very picky about the musical instruments that we buy DD. He'd rather get a real instrument than "junk" as he says. He loves the Schoenhut. We got it for DD for her 1st Christmas and she (and he) still play with it on a regular basis.

  • Yes.  I had one as a child & loved it and ds has mine and thoroughly enjoys it as well :)
