Light sleeper

DD hears everything!!!! Granted our house is a ranch and not huge but still. She sleeps in her room with the door closed and white noise, fan sound on my iPod and she still manages to hear every little thing! Like the cat meowing this morning waking us both up! Yeah could have killed the cat! Lol and Dh gets up at 4am for work and it always wakes her up sometimes she just stirs and goes back to sleep but other times I have to go in and comfort her. During the day for naps, forget it! I can barely do anything since she mostly naps in her swing on the living room. Anyone else's LO like this?! Anything I can do? I remember the Ped saying during the day not to be quiet so she knows its daytime and doesn't get used to the quiet but it's hard not to be when you want her to nap for the little 20 min she does! Ahhh

Re: Light sleeper

  • Addie is exactly the same way. Some babies are just sensitive and can't handle all the noise.

  • When he gets into deep sleep, he can sleep through anything. But lightly sleep? Nooo, got to be quiet as a church mouse. Sucks at night, because my neighbors are night owls and are insanely loud! Also when I try to sneak out of the room at night, my floor always creaks and he stirs. I memorized where the creaky board is and now I step over it! Lol.
