Furious with MIL

She had the lady balls to tell DH that i "Have to get my tubes tied after the baby is born" Ummmmm excuse the flying *BEEP* out of me?! also apparently she's under the impression that i dont like her O.o i like her just flippin fine however this particular comment makes me want to smack her. THANK GOD she lives an hour away. Who the hell says something like that. A) it's not her flippin body I will do as i *beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep* please with MY *bleepin* body!

what was the context?? are you guys planning to have more kids? were you talking about plans after the baby was born? regardless...it's none of her business what  you do!

Ugh. I'm not sure why she thought she had any say in that matter.

When DD was 7 months old, I found out about DD2. Not planned. My MIL said, I was getting concerned that you guys weren't going to have anymore. She said, I'm ready for another.

When I reflect on that conversation, it still blows my mind.

I usually let stupid things ILs say slide, but I would call her out on this! I can't imagine how pissed I would be if my MIL, or anyone other than DH for that matter, had any kind of opinion on what I need to do to my body.

My mom said something like this, except that it was either DH or I need to get "fixed" since apparently we "breed like rabbits" according to her.  Umm, it took us a year to get pregnant with DS and yes, it only took 3 months to get pregnant with this LO, but both were planned pregnancies.  And according to my mom, I don't need to "try for a girl" because 2 kids are enough.  I love my mom, but if I want 12 kids, then dammit I will have 12 kids.

What is it about parents and ILs that they think they can just say whatever they want?  You have every right to be mad.

I adore my MIL, but when I took her along to see an ultrasound of her 2nd grandchild and she asked my OB what my options were for BC after this LO was born, I was ready to throttle her.
