In the hospital after surgery? My dr is telling me I'm coming in Tuesday and without any complications should be released Thursday........BTW this is next week yes Thanksgiving.......just curious if he's accurate.....
My first was unplanned and happened around 2am on a Tuesday. I was released around noon on Wednesday (so about 34 hours after surgery). My second was a planned RCS (different OB, different hospital). Surgery was 8am on Friday, I was released around 2pm on Sunday (about 54 hours). 48 hours is pretty standard around here unless there are complications.
Mine was unplanned, water broke around 2 am Sunday night/Monday morning - ended up having a c section around 9 pm Monday - released around noon on Wednesday.
I will have mine Thursday morning about 7am and depending on how we are doing breastfeeding, we will leave Saturday morning or Sunday Morning. With my previous 2 we only stayed 48 hrs I was ready to go home and my dr knew I would heal better at home and have the help I needed with baby so he let me go. Like I said, this time, all depends on our BFing experience and how we are doing.
I had my c/s early Tuesday morning (like 6 am), and was due to be released Wednesday evening, but they kept me another night because I was starting to show signs of an infection. I would keep that in mind when planning (if you can plan the date at this point), in all honesty - it would suck to have to stay in on Thanksgiving night!
Thanks ladies! With DD I delivered c section 11:30pm Saturday night and could've been released on Monday at noon but I asked to stay one more night........
I was induced on Saturday, had the c/s at 6:00 at night, would have been out Monday at 7:00 in the morning, but I had to wait for the cardiologist for the baby, so I was let go at 4:00 on Monday.
My CS was Thursday night at 5 pm, and I went home Monday around noon.
This.... except I delivered at 3:25am. I was cleared to go home Sunday, but my insurance paid for 4 days so i stayed until Monday!

Mine was a tuesday and I went home thursday. On that wednesday, I was up and walking the halls.
at that point I was just on motrin for pain - which I could take at home.
I still needed help picking up things i'd dropped, etc for about a week.
I would definitely want to be home for Tgiving if my recovery went well. I think you will be fine

My C was Monday around 5pm and I went home Thursday around 5pm. No complications.
I would've been released a little earlier that day but they were running a 2nd jaundice test on DS and taking forever with the paperwork.
Aidan-had him on Monday, released Friday. I was given an extra day since he was in the NICU.
Lucas-had him on Monday, released Thursday.
