Any experiences with OBGYNs at Everett Clinic/Providence?

Has anyone had any experience with obgyns at Everett Clinic or Providence? I am not preggo yet but would love to hear feedback on these places as I am planning on seeing an obgyn at one of them for a preconception visit and am hoping to really click with someone so I am ready to go when we do get pregnant. Thank you for your feedback!

Re: Any experiences with OBGYNs at Everett Clinic/Providence?

  • I loved my obgyn who delivers there, but she's at mill creek obgyn. She had told me that she rotates with other docs and the chances of me actually having her at delivery was lower. b/c of that I switched to an obgyn that delivers at evergreen, but I had seen her for years as my gyno and really liked her. let me know if you want her name.

  • I attended a birth with Dr. Albrecht at Providence. She was great at explaining things, talked to the mom, was empathetic, and respectful of her choices.
  • I was extremely happy with Dr Anholm at the Everett clinic Providence.

  • I go to Mill Creek OBGYN and will deliver at Providence Everett. Gakester is correct, you rotate and see both doctors throughout your pregnancy. This was not explained to me. I had been seeing Dr. Welcome for a few years prior to getting pregnant and was happy with her..When I went for my second or third appointment (I believe this was like 10 weeks into the pregnancy?) suddenly Dr. Steinberg showed up in the room. She is wonderful and everything but I was surprised. It was then that they told me you rotate and see both doctors. While, they are both wonderful doctors, I am not liking seeing two different doctors and would rather stick with one or the other.

Also, it's my fault and I should have researched that my only option is to deliver at Everett Providence hospital. I was so sick the first few months and didn't think twice to research this. I thought I get to deliver wherever I wish and I wanted to deliver at a different hospital. Also, the chances that I get either Dr. Welcome or Dr. Steinberg is only 25% so that part is annoying as well.

If we have a second kid, I'll be looking for a different OB, for the reasons I mentioned above.

  • honeydew, it's never too late to change your mind. The provider who is there at your birth and where you give birth are the most important choices you make. They also have the greatest impact on how your labor will go.
  • Thanks, ladies! The only one I could get into in the near future was Mill Creek Obgyn so I am seeing Dr. Welcome. Fingers crossed for a good experience!

Thanks! I have thought about it, but I've had quite a number of complications with this pregnancy and switching in the middle makes me worried that something will get lost in transition.

She's nice but as I mentioned above if you're pregnant, you'll be rotating and seeing both doctors throughout your pregnancy..so be prepared.

  • I saw (and loved) Dr Heshmati at the Everett Clinic at Providence. I never had to rotate doctors and he is very kind.

Glad to read this. I've selected her and thus far she's been great.

I've heard wonderful things about Dr. McFadden but she's only part-time and it's hard to get in as her patient. I called right when I found out I was pregnant and was told she was "full for June" so I guess I'll have to aim for an early month baby next time?
