Carseat reviews?

DH and I are looking for some websites where we can find not just people's personal opinions on carseats but safety facts and reports.  Anyone know of such a place or a book I could buy (besides baby bargains)?

(Open to hear opinions from people on their opinions or research on seats/travel systems as well)  TIA

This comes from a site that's just for car safety. Many of the posters are car safety techs and incredibly knowledgable. It's basically the most reliable source for car safety you can get online and one of the few places outside of manufacturers websites to get good info.

They all are in agreement that since all seats pass the exact same pass/fail testing to make it to market all seats  should be treated as equally  safe. The most important thing is that you install the seat properly and buckle your child properly and what seat one person loves another may hate or just not have work in their particular vehicle.

I highly recommend flipping around on that site for a while and reading up. You'll get the most reliable, up-to-date info there.

Another great site is https://www.thecarseatlady.com/ .

Definitely read up on both of these sites a lot. There is a lot of information in them that should be common knowledge but isn't. Most remarkably, the age a child should remain rear facing until (common knowledge says 1 year, they say 3-4 years) and what age to move to a booster (some go as young as 3, they say by maturity).

Those 2 sites are the best for car seat research.  Very thorough.
