With a Christmas list by midNov! My neices are 13 and 11 and every single year this is an issue, we Mom and I have to go through my brothers wife to get a list because she has to see it before they can tell us. My brother acts like we are asking in January. We both want to be done by Black Friday. And SIL asks for lists for my kids so it is not like she is opposed to lists. And the kids have everything and are at that difficult age, I want to get them what they want.

I don't know but I feel your pain. We are supposed to be doing a gift exchange with my ILs... except they won't actually draw names. I like to be done by Dec 1st at the latest. We clearly won't even be drawing names by that point. Ughhhh. It makes me frustrated. I think I'm going to sit it out this year because of that.

We make our lists every year and all the family passes the lists around on Thanksgiving and people plan out their black Friday shopping based off the lists. Those kids need to make their lists and get them sent to you if they want any Christmas presents!

I am done asking, I FB PMd SIL and my Mom called today. Hopefully she will. Ring a list on Thanksgiving like last year and if not I will tell her I already shopped, I will do what Wendi suggested minus clothes because without an Fing list I do not know sizes and give a receipt.

This happens with my BIL/SIL.  He complains endlessly about what is given to his daughters but NEVER gives any suggestions.  Giving gifts to his children is no longer enjoyable.

I send out the boys' list in early November.  I like to prepare early and give others the same opportunity.  I buy gifts as I see them for the little ones (nieces and nephews), so I am usually done very early.
