XP: Question for DE ladies about BCP

How long were you on BCP before your DE cycle? I called the clinic where I am doing my DE cycle this afternoon (in CA, not my regular clinic) to ask about when I am supposed to start BCPs for my end of January cycle...The answer... Today!!! Ummmm, no one told me this!!!!! So now I am scrambling to get the script called in. Is it normal to start on CD3 and so far ahead of time? Sorry if I sound completely stupid but I have never been on BCP for IVF and the last minuteness of this is making my neurotic brain question everything!

Where in CA are you cycling? For my cycle, I just remained on BCP after my mock cycle. That was probably 2 months prior. They were able to interrupt whenever they needed to at that point. Do you not do well on the pill? I actually feel better on the pill, so I didn't mind. If you want to hold off until Dec, ask them if you can so that.
I am at HR.C. I have never had any issues with the pill, it was just that the BCP start date wasn?t on my calendar and it just really caught me of guard when I was told ?start tonight?. I guess my panic has more to do with not being kept in the loop than anything else... If I hadn?t called I wouldn?t have known. Ugh, if I?m like this without hormones, God help me once I?m pumped on Lupron and estrogen!
Can?t wait until your little ones arrive! ...So exciting!!!

Multiple ectopics, 2 failed IVF's
IVF #1: Did not get to ET, embies all failed PGD (major chromosomal defects)
IVF #2: We have 2 chromosomally perfect embies as a result of PGD (Boy/Girl) 1 failed the thaw (Girl) Transferred 1, yet ended as a c/p
