I posted this on the nursery gear board but thought I would get your suggestions. I really want to be able to wear my baby close to me but I am a fuller figure FTM and some of the options at BRU and other stores don't seem to fit properly. Anyone out there have any suggestions or things that worked for them?
Re: Sling or wrap for plus size FTM
Do you have an idea of the type of carrier you want - wrap, buckles, ring sling, mei tai (my siggy link has info on all if you aren't sure). Buckle carriers will be the hardest to get a good fit on as they are more picky fit wise to begin with. The best option if you are set on buckles is to see if you can find a babywearing group near you so you can try stuff on.
Wraps, ring slings and mei tais (with longer straps) all fit to the user perfectly since you tie them right on.

Not trying to poke or prod... but how plus sized are you?
I am a size 18 and I have the infantino wrap, and there is still a good 8-10 inches I can still extend it...
I am plus sized and I loved my moby.
FYI, my DH is 300+ pounds and also used moby. Hope that helps!
