Hi ladies,
I finally got some news this morning. I don't know if these numbers are good or not since the OB said that I am in the "grey" area. My beta on 11/16 was 15,875 and on 11/19 was 17,992. My progesterone was 23.63.
I read on Dr. Google that beta values don't increase much after 6,000. I am 7 weeks today but seems like my betas should be higher.
What thoughts do you ladies have? Is there still hope for us?
Re: Update: HCG lab results...
I consider any increase good but then I am not a Dr. I know you are having a hard time with your Dr getting the attention you need. Still pretty early in your pregnancy, Have you considered changing you Dr?
In my previous pregnancy, I did not care for the practice, it was a large practice, I really felt I was being treated like a number. I go to a very small practice, now, they treat me like I am the only patient they have.
Going up is definitely better than going down. You certainly don't get the quick doubling times at 7 weeks that you do very early on, so this may be okay. (But I am SO NOT a doctor.) I would stay positive and, yes, as TX-Bride said, if the pregnancy continues, I would look around for another doctor who is going to take better care of you.
When is your next beta draw? I think you said you were getting a u/s on Thursday. I'll keep cheering for your little bean and sending lots of positive vibes your way!
