Baby Names

Need boy name help!

Boy names are so hard! I'm 25 weeks - due Feb. 21. We've thrown a few names around, but ugh. I say a name to much and I start to not like it.

I have a link in my sig to our name choices.  I wold great.y appreciate any input. Also open to other suggestions.

Re: Need boy name help!

  • My biased opinion says Nathan is the best choice, but I like the sound of William Michael as well (called Will, please not Liam)

  • I agree that Nathan Michael has a nice ring to it. Any meanings behind using these names? (i.e. family names?)

I like each of the names you picked, just gotta get the right mix between first and last name! I do like the name Nathan.

  • I like William best, followed by Wyatt.

  • Thanks all! Michael and William are both family names, but we don't really care about making sure our kid has a family name. DD (who is 2) has no family names. I almost think its easier not to do family names, that way no one feels slighted.

As for Nathan - DH's name is Jonathan, so Nathan would be a variation of that which I really like. I think it's the perfect mix of first name middle name last name that I'm having trouble with.

  • I like that! That's a great compromise and use of "similar" names. I'm struggling with this myself. Our first child, a boy, is due in March and my DH name is Martin and it's a name that's been passed on after several generations on his father's side. Sounds like we'll have to use it. Now I'm strugling with the MN, going back and forth between using another family name for MN or picking something completely different so my family doesn't feel slighted :)

We'll see how this shakes out.

Good luck though, I think you have some  great names in the mix!
