What to use to hang wooden letters on wall?

What can I use to hang wooden letters on the wall that will not damage the paint or wall once removed?  Is there something to use other than nails or are nails the best way to hang them?

    Command strips!  There are different kinds and they list weight limit they can support.  Ours have been up 3 years and haven't budged.  DH has even put up framed pics with them to  test out placement for a few months.

    I have used a hot glue gun.  Never ruined the paint and no holes in the walls.
