Melissa & Doug Train Set; Conductor Carl?

Me again, back about train sets! This would be easier if I could actually see them in person. Anyway, anyone have the Melissa and Doug basic set ($86 on Amazon)? It gets good reviews and looks pretty nice. Did you get a table? I don't like that the Melissa & Doug table is white (and expensive!).

    We have a train table and 9 times out of 10, the boys build their track on the floor as there isn't much room on the table.

    I haven't followed your posts, but if you are wanting just a train set, not specifically wooden, I would highly recommend GeoTrax.  My kids (4 years old) play with them every day and have for over a year.  They are easier for kids to put together than the wooden tracks.
