I know everyone is different, but I'm looking for a general time frame. Before getting pregnant I was running 30+ miles a week. By 18 weeks I switched to walking and using the elliptical. I have now found that I can workout for 2 days on, 1 day off for about 45-60m each time. Any more than that and it's too much (intensity has been lowered as well). How was it for you? I have found that the exercise and being able to stretch does make me feel better. I fear for the day when I won't be able to any longer.

Re: How long were able to exercise for?
I switched to yoga and swimming at the beginning of the pregnancy and have done both all the way through (now 38 weeks). My OB was surprised to hear that I was still going this week:)
It's a good idea to get used to stuff that's less jarring and sweaty early on. I find it easier to listen to my body and take it easy if necessary when doing yoga than an elliptical, for example. Also, a good prenatal class will help stretch and strengthen in ways that are particularly good for pregnancy, and swimming helps keep your belly and joints comfortable as you get big.
Good luck!
