I'm not overly thrilled with my agency right now... or, at least my licensing worker.
It took forever to get the background checks (BC) back (still waiting on MH's since June). I called her on Oct 24... Said she'd call me Monday (Oct 29). She didn't. MH had to text her on Tuesday, the 30th for a response. In his message, he asked about the BC and a child we had sent an inquiry about. She responded regarding the BC and completely ignored the child question. She responded again on Wednesday, the 31st regarding the BC.
The next day (Nov 1st), I send her an email asking about what the process looks like if we chose to wait for a child to become available instead of foster-to-adopt. (She knows we're considering this. We haven't hidden that.) No response.
Fast forward one week (Nov 8th)... I text her and ask about MH's BC and if she saw my email. No response.
Now, I know she has her cell phone on her... as she made a big proclamation in our PRIDE classes that she always has her phone... and loves when she can text fps.
I've been emailing agencies about finding available children. Most haven't suggested anything beyond what we're already doing. One agency has a diffinitive program for Adopting Waiting Children though... And they sounded like they'd be willing to help. They responded quickly asking for contact information... But we haven't received a response since then. (A week ago).
So... what do you think? Am I being impatient? Or do we need to move on to a new agency? Or maybe this is God's way of telling us "No"?
