Still using Diaper Genie?

I'm wondering if y'all are still using your Diaper Genie-type things. We've been using ours since day 1. Sometimes it gets a funk, so I air it outside for a few days. Then that gets me wondering why I just don't get ride of it for good.

Just curious what everyone else is doing!

DD is 18 months and we still use a Diaper Champ in her room. I hate it though, it always gets stuck and doesn't really hide the smell very well at all. I don't have a better option though, I don't want to walk outside to throw away a diaper every time, and a regular trash can sure won't be better smell-wise.

Honestly, I think the things are overrated in the first place.  I used mine for the first few months maybe, otherwise, as often as I changed our garbage it was never a problem to throw them in there.

We still use our Diaper Champ but we keep it outside. It was too nasty smelling to keep in the house.

Yup we have the Diaper Genie 2 and it's been perfect. Not a single smell!

We have the Diaper Genie 2 and it's fabulous.  Never lets out any smell at all.  I fully intend to use it until DS is potty trained.

We still use the Champ at 20 months. No problems with smell.

We have Diaper Dekor and still use it for both kids, it gets emptied every other day.  I like having them in the kids rooms as opposed to taking the diaper into the kitchen garbage, that would be a PITA IMO.

I still use the Champ for the pee-pee.  The poopy diapers go out in the garage.  I change it once a week.

The diaper champ is in the garage...very close to DD's bedroom door so it's not a PITA.  We usually just take dirty diapers outside though.

I can't imagine getting rid of ours. I think going downstairs and out to the garage every time I needed to throw away a diaper would be a huge pain. We have no issues with smell. I keep a can of febreeze by the Genie and give the inside a squirt every time I empty the pail. Works great.

Stopped using it several months ago..... now I take dirty diapers out to the garbage in the garage.
