Preterm Labor

Maybe I should try posting this on another board but since I know many people on here have more than 1 child and have experienced preterm labor I thought I'd start here.  I had preterm labor issues with DD.  I started having contractions at around 26 weeks but with medication and bedrest I was able to carry her to 38 weeks.  Even my doctor was kind of suprised.  I was 26 then, I am now 30.  I am not planning to have any more kids for about 2 years, at which point I would like to have 1-2 more.  For all of you who had preterm labor issues did you have it with all of your pregnancies?

I had preterm labor with DD and she was born early.  When I was pregnant with DS, I got the weekly 17p shots.  I didn't have any issues with preterm labor and DS was full term.

I had preterm labor that resulted in DD being born at almost 24 weeks. The second time around, I had the 17p shots, like the PP. I also had more frequent doctor's appointments and was told to take it easy. DS was born at 39 weeks.

When you decide to start trying again, I'd suggest you talk to your doctor about what they are planning to do and make sure your insurance covers the shots. My insurance didn't cover it, although fortunately, it wasn't the really pricey version.

I had preterm labor with DS and he was born at 34weeks. I was given the 17p shots with DD and she was full term-born at 39 weeks.
