Re: Jumparoo or Stationary Saucer...which one?

  • We had an exersaucer (the Rainforest one, can't remember the brand) that had springs in the seat, so DD could & would jump around a lot as she was getting stronger.  Also, the bottom was somewhat rounded which you could either stabilize with little feet, or fold the feet down so the jumper was even a little more 'wobbly' and fun.

This particular exersaucer we had was a 3-in-1; started as a floor play gym, converted to the exersaucer, then turned into a long S shaped table for the cruising/toddling stage.  DD still plays with it today.

  • We have the Triple Jungle Fun exersaucer and Rainforest Jumperoo.  She LOVES jumping in the jumperoo but also really enjoys playing with all the toys on the exersaucer.  I found both for cheap off CL and it is nice to have something on each floor of the house.

  • If you we're going to choose one I would say the jumparoo. My daughter has been it it since 3 months and just figured out how to jump in it this week. She likes it better then the evxersaucer. But if you can find a second hand one it's nice to have a change of where to stick them while doing stuff around the house.

  • Our daughter loved both.  If I were only going to choose one, I would choose the jumparoo.  We have the FP Rainforest one and she used it longer (i.e. until she was 9 months or so vs 6 months) than she did the exersaucer.

ditto to the bolded, DS used his FP rainforest jumparoo until he reached the weight limit and we took it away (almost a year)
