If I had seen Elly, I would have pronounced Elee. Of course now I know... But I had no clue. Ellie for sure.

As a first name? I must be out of touch, it sounds like a cats name to me :-(

I've just never heard of it as a first name. Maybe it is just not popular around here or in our school systems. I'm afraid I know a few cats named Ellie. Like I said, I'm probably out of touch with names these days!

We plan on naming our LO Ellyana if the baby is a girl. We'd call her Elly for short.
