For my NB stash I have some NB Workhorse fitteds, a few NB Imagine bamboo fitteds, some fleece liners, some microfiber inserts, plus thirsties and imagine covers.
I have read that you had to prep natural fibers separately, so I washed all of the fitteds in one load with BG soap, and everything that says it has polyester in it separately (the fleece, the microfiber and the covers).
Now I have two questions:
1. After the prep, do I need to continue to wash them separately to prevent problems?
2. Can I dry everything together with the covers in the future? I am not 100% sure what "delaminating" and "sealing" the PUL mean, but I assume that both of those things happen in the dryer...and if there is anything coming off of the PUL, I don't want any of that melted onto my other diapers, right?
TIA for any info you can give me. I would really appreciate it, as I am only familiar with pockets. This is my first time branching out into the exciting world of fitteds and covers! ;-)
Re: Another Prep Q
As for natural vs synthetic, my understanding is that after the initial prepping cycles, that they can be washed together as the natural oils will have been removed.
