Flu Shots - when?

So.....I've been reading the flu/vaccinating posts and see that the flu shot for the babies is two shots.  (Didn't know that, but that's okay!)  When are you all getting the first and second?  How far apart are they?  Is it pretty strict (like it should be exactly X days apart) or is there some wiggle? 

I can't tell for sure, but by some of the posts it looks like some have gotten (at least) the first shot before LO's 1 year appt?  Or are you all waiting and getting the first one at the 1 year appt?

They are one month apart. DS is getting his 2nd part today.

We got the first at his year appointment, which was last week. He will get the second at the beginning of December.

Also, I am pretty sure this will be the only year it's two shots. They do two for children 8 and under who are receiving the flu vaccine for the first time.

ETA: pretty sure there is some wiggle room but they have to be 30 days apart. I know some people that got the second shot right at a month, and another that waited 3 months. I just would rather get it over with!

Thanks, y'all.  DD's 1 year appt is already scheduled for the 19th.  So too late to do it a month before that!  Oooops.  That would have been nice though.  Guess we'll just wait til then to get her first shot and then do the second a month later.  Thanks for the info!

We had her first one at her 9 month wellness appointment (which happened to not be scheduled until the day before she turned 10 months), we were supposed to go back last Friday to get the second but she was sick so they obviously wouldn't give it to her but the pedi said it's perfectly fine, 1 month is the absolute minimum amount of time in between so we'll just do it at her 1 year appointment on 12/11. (So it will be a few days over 2 months in between)

DD got the first one at her 9 month appt, and they said the second one has to be atleast 30 days later. The nurse said it could be given at any appt after that 30 day period, or at her 1y appt, which ever came first.

DD got her first shot on 10/17 and will get the second one on 11/17.  We were going to schedule it on the same day as her 12 month appointment (which would have pushed the appointment to after the 21st), but the nurse mentioned that she would be getting other shots that day as well.  We decided not to do them all at once.

 We also wanted to be sure to get her both shots in time for the cold/flu season.
