BBT Thermometer-How fast/slow is yours?

My BBT thermometer seems to take forever to give me a reading (I'm talking 3-5 minutes) and it's driving me crazy! I take my temp before I get out of bed, but I'm laying there with the stupid thing in my mouth, wishing I could get up and use the bathroom and get ready for work!

I bought a CVS brand one (it was the only one I could find at CVS) so I'm wondering if I need to upgrade to a better name brand one or if they are all this slow. Maybe I need to be more patient, but I'd rather buy one that is faster, if thats even a possibility.

That is a long time. I have the Mabis and it takes about a minute maybe. I don't know exactly because I'm usually half asleep--I temp at 5:00 and go back to sleep.

3-5 minutes sounds waaay too long! I would honestly fall asleep while the thing was in my mouth if it took that long. I have a Mabis and I'd estimate it takes about 30 seconds to give a reading.  I'd invest in a Mabis since thats what everyone around here uses and trusts.

I actually do! once my alarm goes off, I turn on the thermometer, put it in my mouth, then hit snooze. Then I wake up to the beeping from the thermometer.

My Mabis takes about a minute, which seems long to me. Haha. My Target one used to be soo fast, but it wasn't that great so, oh well. 3-5 min seems way too long

I have the CVS one and it will take anywhere from 30 secs to a couple minutes. It's not just yours!

I have the Mabis, I am usually pretty much still asleep when I'm temping but its about a minute or less.   Like the others said, 3-5 seems way too long!

No offense, but are you sure you aren't dozing off and it just seems that long?  That's a really long time.  Mine takes anywhere from a minute to a minute and a half and I think it takes forever because I usually AM falling back to sleep and then I don't know if it beeped or not.  But of course if you have tested it when you are 100% awake then you obviously know how long it takes.

I would get a new one, I'd go nuts waiting that long.

I've done it fully awake too..mostly when I really need to use the bathroom and I'm just staring at the clock watching time go by and I just want the thermometer to beep!

I have a cvs one too and I know that sometimes it takes over 3 minutes. It sucks. Did everyone get their Mabis at Walmart or did you have to order it online? I'm switching next cycle.

I bought mine on early-pregnancy-tests.com (Fairhaven Health is the brand) for $9 and it takes 2 minutes to take a reading, which is fine by me.

I have the CVS brand one too.  It seems to take a very long time.

I have a Walgreens thermometer. It's probably 30sec to 60sec. 

And you all that wake up when the thermometer beeps are sick. I sleep through it like it's serenading me to sleep.
